This landmark, best known as the favorite haunt of Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and many of the well-known Beat poets, also holds an important place in the history of Jazz performances in New York City. Many of the jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie and Dave Brubeck played in its rooms. The West End has some of the biggest event rooms available on the Upper West Side. The back “Havana Room,” seats 125 and can fit up to 200 people for cocktails. The side dining area can seat 75 and fit up to 100 for cocktails. In addition, we often carve out areas of our large, rectangular bar to be used for private happy hours. |
